66. Secret House

This is just a really quick post today. This is the drawing for my next piece in illustrator, "Secret House." I plan to start working on this in illustrator soon, and it may take a little while to finish, but I plan to post more in progress in pictures of it. I have also put this version up in my Society6 store.

65. Notes Calendar Design

First here is the new calendar design I did for 2013. The first is an in progress screen shot of calendar, and the second is the completed calendar. I am thinking I will put this in my Society6 shop on May 1st. There may be some minor tweaking to the piece before it is posted but it will not be anything major. I will also be taking my 2012 calendar designs (Night Sky and Hour glass) out of my Society6 shop on May 1st.  I am thinking about redoing  / editing  them for 2013, but I am not sure yet. I have a couple more calendar designs that I plan to start working on soon.

The next set of images are all new pieces in my Society6 shop.  The first piece is a Photoshop piece called "Blossoms." The next is "Feather"; this is the final version of a sketch from an older blog post. The next image is "Arrows" and the last is "Purple Monster."  I have also posted my Music notes collage piece from a previous post in my society6 shop as well.

Except for the calendar design these are all available in my society6 shop now. Soceity6 has also added the ability for people to buy cards of prints from there website now.

64. Quilled Whale

Here is the finished quilled whale piece and a few of the in progress shots. Like the Quilled Snoopy and Woodstock this piece 5 x7 inches.

The next thing is two of my new Soceity6 pieces. The first is "Adventure" and the second is "Loop de Loops". Besides these I have also put a few new photography prints up in my store.

I have a few new project ideas, I am just not sure which ones I will actually work on and which I will start first.  With the weather getting warmer I also plan to retake all of my Etsy shop photo's again, as soon as the sun shows up.

63. Music Note Collage

 Here is the music note collage I have been working on, with several in progress pictures and a few close ups of the final piece. Overall the piece is 18 x 24 inches.  I started by drawing the design first and then added layers of tissue paper. The first layer I ended up using smaller pieces and forming them around the drawing of the notes. The second layer I used large sheets to cover the entire piece. The fourth images is after I did the wash to get the color. The wash was a watered down mix of white acrylic paint and brown ink. The last thing I did was take cut up pieces of old magazines. I ripped out a bunch of pages with black, cut them up and used them for the notes. The piece is very textured overall and the two close ups show that.  The final overall piece is a little blurry. I plan to make this a piece in my society6 store, but I need to wait till I get a sunny day, right now the weather is showing a lot of rain and thunderstorms which I love but it delays photographing anything. I will post on my twitter when I get good pictures of the final one and get it in my society6 shop.

Other than this I am working on the whale quilled piece and as soon as the sun shows up I will get that posted. I am hoping it will be up by the end of the week. I also want to mention that my 2012 calendar designs (Hour Glass and Night Sky) from previous blog post will only be available in my Society6 shop until May 1st and then I will remove them.

62. New Pieces

This will just be a quick post today with a few new pieces. I have been having a problem with my scanner, but I think I have figured out the problem so I will post the batch of daily sketches I have when I get it working.  I am also working on the whale quilled piece which I think I will have done soon.

These first two images are my latest pieces in my society 6 shop. The first is called "Balloon Man" and the second "Wolf." The third image is the latest item in my Etsy shop. This is a set of 5 blank note cards/thank you cards with a hand cut flying pig illustration. There is also a second misfit set with the same design.
